Annie Mac Presents

Gig info

AMP 2011 is back with a bang, ushering in the New Year with an awesomely exciting line up reflecting the slice of the sonic universe Annie has been championing on Radio 1.

Hamburg-based Tensnake has been one of music’s break-out stars of 2010 with his insanely catchy ‘Coma Cat’. Taking the disco movement that started on labels like Permanent Vacation and Tim Goldsworthy’s Beats In Space internet radio show to its biggest audience ever, Marco Niemerski is a house music master who dabbles in disco and deep house alike. The AMP date will see him performing his first London live show of the year and you can expect special edits and killer remixes alike.

Not content with one giant of his genre, Annie has packed in another. Breakage’s background is in drum and bass and jungle. He’s has brought D&B skill with low frequencies to his break out productions, notably ‘Hard’ with Newham Generals which is simply one of the most re-windable records of 2010.

Tottenham’s Wretch 32 (real name Jermaine Sinclair) is the next grime MC to step up from the underground to make his mark on 2011. With his hip hop influenced flow and conscious attitude he’s got natural star power.

Solo is a leading underground house producer working in the bassy, techy, inventive space mapped out by labels like Dirty Bird and San Pellegrino. The way this man’s tracks will move KOKO’s speakers is obscene.

A rising producer in the same space completes the line-up. Rachel Barton’s chunky, fidgety house has tastemakers looking at her as the next to blow.
