Following a summer of blistering AMP festival appearances Annie Mac returns to her residency here on Saturday 13 October with yet another hot line up.
Joining Annie is Manchester based producer and DJ Star Slinger. Taking influences from hip hop to shoegaze, Star Slinger first came to the attention after self-releasing a beat tape in the summer of 2010 entitled "Volume 1". 2012 has seen Star Slinger tour the world including appearances at Sonar festival and Lollapalooza. Star Slinger also curates the international dance party called JET JAM.
Highly praised by Annie Mac herself Angel Haze is without a doubt one of the most exciting figures in the rap scene after the release of her ‘Reservation’ EP. Her visceral, emotive and startling lyrics have earned Angel over a million views on YouTube and more than 450,000 downloads. ‘New York’ will be the first single from the EP.
Also joining them will be Bobby Tank. Clearly influenced by UK dubstep, hip-hop, RnB and 80s boogie, Bobby Tank’s sound is buzzing with nostalgic synths, soulful, blenderized cut-ups, woven leads and atmospherics, thick with heavy bass pressure. Completing the line-up and opening proceedings is south Londoner Monki AKA Lucy Monkman who’s already a regular DJ on Rinse FM and has most recently played to a packed out crowd in the AMP Bestival tent.
Please note, this is a late night event. Artists will be appearing on stage later than at a usual gig. If you need more information, you can contact the venue for stage times in the week of the event.
Tickets for this show are available from the box office at the venue at face value if you pay in cash. Please note promoters may increase ticket price if purchased on the night.
