The industrial goth princess of the East London rave scene is ready to unleash her brand of 'emotive dark pop' at Club NME this April.
With support flooding in from Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw and Fearne Cotton to name but a few, and having the Guardian Guide charting Charli XCX's 'Stay Away' as pick of the week last year, it would seem that this 19 year old 'goth-pop starlet' has begun to make a serious name for herself.
The skills to create her unique brand of electro laments stems from playing in bands for over 12 years and a vivid determination to build 'worlds' within her music. With such a potent mix of influences it's no wonder that Charli XCX has supported Robyn at the Roundhouse, and been booked to play Bestival at the end of the year. Not to mention that she was nominated for MTV's Brand New for 2012.
Charli XCX is signed to Atlantic Records and I Am Sound, and is releasing her debut EP in May, followed by a debut album.
