GUILTY PLEASURES - MOVED TO BLOOMSBURY BALLROOM

MOVED TO BLOOMSBURY BALLROOM

Gig info

Please note for one month only, Guilty Pleasures is being held at The Bloomsbury Ballroom, London WC1. For more info go here.

Guilty Pleasures is an unashamedly glorious all-singing, all-dancing renouncement of pop music and an antidote to modern day clubbing fatigue. In eight years it has become one of the biggest events and movements of the music scene;  "dance yourself dizzy" is what Time Out said about the night, “a putative global phenomenon” is how The Guardian described it.

Created by broadcaster and music fan Sean Rowley on his cult BBC London radio show, the weekly spot on his program has evolved into a full blown pop show experience, with djs, dancers, performers and a riot of fun.

This month's party is a very special one-off, seeing Sean and sparkling diva DJ Anna Greenwood playing the greatest musical smashers from the pop and party spectrum – Buggles to Beyonce, Wild Cherry to Katy Perry, Whitney to Winehouse. Plus, performers bringing song, dance, comedy, cabaret, and slapstick routines. Hot Gusset is a trio of comedic acrobatic dancers, while all-girl dance troupe Sparklemotion joins the fun. Dancing queens the DiscoB*tches take to the stage, while Father Oates and His Confessional Booth will clear you of your sins and offer penance in the form of a shot of Holy Vodka! Or sing your heart out in Room 2 to Phil Collins, Take That, Toto, Foreigner, Cher and more with the Power Ballads R Us crew…Do. Not. Miss!
