Formed in 1991, the New York based, blues and rock trio released a full-on blues album, Meat and Bone, in September 2012 - the first for 8 years. This album still captures the high energy, cutback, raw savagery of those that preceded it.

“We still have that psychic glue that allows us to create music together. Over the course of a year touring and writing new songs and recording, we rediscovered our shared history as a band. We circled the wagons, and went back to our roots. In a way this is almost like another first album.” (Jon Spencer).

Traversing a range of rock eras and movements in music genres, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion presents an effortless and unflagging, rhapsodic performance.
