Paul Weller

Gig info

Jack Daniel’s can now reveal that Paul Weller, one of Britain’s greatest songwriters, will be fronting the next JD Set at KOKO...

No tickets for this exclusive one-off gig will be on sale, but distributed to fans through competitions as well as to invited guests. The evening is set to be an unforgettable experience with the chance to get up close to one of Britain’s most enduring rock icons.

With a glittering career spanning 30 years Weller, is probably best-known for fronting The Jam; arguably the most popular British band of the punk era. In 1982, following the band’s break up, Weller emerged to form The Style Council with Mick Talbot, moving into a more soulful, laid back sound. He later embarked on a successful solo career, and in February of this year, his contribution to music was recognised with a BRIT Lifetime Achievement Award. His most recent album ‘As Is Now’ marks a return to the more guitar-based style of his earlier days.

Established in 2002, The JD Set series of intimate one-off gigs have become widely anticipated events in the music calendar. Bands that have played The JD Set to-date range from breakthrough to headline acts; from Elbow to The Flaming Lips, Jet to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The JD Set now brings you Paul Weller and an exceptional opportunity to see him perform, as well as enjoy a Jack Daniel’s, cocktail.
