South London’s newest golden-boy of rap, Smiler, plays Club NME on 10 August. Smiler is currently the 15th most viewed artist on YouTube in the UK, after recording a track with siren songstress Lana Del Ray and scoring thousands of internet plays in the process. The pair were reportedly recording in studios next to each other and it was only a matter of time before the collaboration was formed. Smiler has been dubbed ‘the rapper’s rapper’ and much like Wretch 32, who features on Smiler’s latest release 'Delorean', he is making a name for himself through his intelligently honest way with words and ambitiously catchy production. Smiler is sure is bring down the house at KOKO and bring of bit of South London savvy north of the river.
