2016/2017 was one of the biggest years ever for Trevor Nelson and Soul Nation. With the man himself launching his biggest radio show yet on BBC Radio 2, having several charting albums and Soul Nation as a club night selling out huge venues across the country; such as the legendary KOKO, world famous Ministry of Sound and the massive O2 Institute Birmingham.

Now in 2018 we're happy to announce our first London party of the year and it's back in none other than one of the cities greatest nightspots, KOKO. So come one, come all, to KOKO this Easter Weekend as we celebrate the years gone by with Soul Nation, a night of real old school hits curated and of course musically tailored by Trevor himself; bringing you guys a night of Club classics, Old school, Soul & all things R&B. Let Trevor take you on a musical journey playing 80s, 90s & 00s, as well as the best new music.

Joined by a special guest (or two) for a HUGE live performance on the night, last year we where joined by Damage & Jodie Abacus live on stage, this year however we're putting something together thats even more special! Trevor Nelson is proud to announce that the original R&B Ghetto Superstar MYA will be joining him live on stage at this years Soul Nation in the Legendary KOKO, Camden Town, London.

The Grammy Award Winner will be performing a selection of her classic tracks on the evening celebrating her 20 years plus in the industry. You can expect to hear the likes of 'Case of the Ex”, “Free, “It's All About Me”, "Ghetto Superstar" and more live from this platinum selling artist. MYA's collaborative track with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, P!nk and Missy Elliot on a remake of LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade” sold over 5.5 million copies and became the most successful airplay-only single in history; winning the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration and went on to collect numerous awards, keeping this amazing lady in the history books for years to come. As one of the only R&B stars to never perform at a MTV Lick Party, Trevor is excited to finally have her on stage with himself this Easter weekend.

Trevor started out at then pirate station Kiss FM, he then went on to A&R artists such as D’Angelo and in 1996 helped pieoneer the scene into what it is today. He presented the first national R&B show on BBC Radio 1 and has continued to host weekday shows at BBC 1Xtra and a weekly BBC Radio 2 prime time Saturday evening show, ‘Trevor Nelson’s Rhythm Nation’, which he describes as: “The show I’ve been waiting my whole entire life to do”.
